Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrive Trivandrum-Alleppey (150 Kms / 3 Hrs Drive)

On arrival at Trivandrum Airport, you will be received by our representative & drive to Alleppey. It is a famous town for Backwaters & beautiful Houseboat. On arrival, check in houseboat & relax. The House boats of Kerala, offers a panoramic view of one of the most picturesque aspects of the God's Own Country. One can cruise in it through the palm-fringed backwaters, throughout a night in waxing moonlights. Over 900 km of this labyrinthine waterworld is navigable. The largest backwater stretch in Kerala is the Vembanad lake which flows through three districts and opens out into the sea at the Kochi port. Overnight on board the House Boat.

Day 2 : Alleppey-Cochin (60 Kms / 1 Hour Drive)

Morning drive to Cochin. On arrival, check-in at Hotel. Later, explore the Jewish synagogue (closed on Saturdays), built over 400 years ago. It contains beautiful Belgian glass chandeliers and is paved with hand painted tiles from China. Later, visit the “Dutch Palace” (closed on Fridays) with its wonderful murals depicting the entire story of the Ramayana. Proceed to see the St Francis Church (closed on Sundays), the first European Church built in India. Also explore the SPICE market oldest Christian church in the country, Chinese fishing nets, a XVIth century synagogue and a Portuguese-made palace… Evening, witness the Kathakali dance performance, performed by various artists. Kathakali is a traditional dance form, depicting Indian epics (Ramayana and Mahabharata). The dancers are dressed in very colorful and elaborate costumes. Their faces are painted to depict various characters of these epics. This dance has a lot of facial expressions and brisk, yet articulate body movements. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3 : Cochin-Munnar (130 Kms / 3-4 Hrs Drive)

After breakfast drive to Munnar. Munnar is headquarter town for the area of Western Ghats known as the “High Ranges”, which is responsible for a good portion of South India’s tea production. Enroute enjoy the scenic beauty & the marvelous waterfalls (Cheeyappara), high mountains with the low flying clouds passing by. On arrival, check in Hotel & relax.

Day 4 : Munnar

After breakfast in hotel, enjoy sightseeing of Munnar which includes Mattupetty, Eco-Point, Tea Museum, Pothamedu etc. You can also enjoy boating in the Lake (optional).Overnight stay in Munnar.

Day 5 : Munnar-Thekkady (130 Kms / 3-4 Hrs Drive)

After breakfast at hotel, drive to Thekkady through cardamom hills. On arrival, check into the Resort & relax. After lunch explore spice plantation like cardamom, Pepper, Coffee, and tea estate etc. The major attraction of Thekkady is sunset boating on the lake and the Mullai Periyar Dam. On way back to hotel you could stop at the local market and pick up some fragrant spices. Overnight stay in Thekkady.

Day 6 : Thekkady-Kumarakom (145 kms / 4 hrs Drive)

After breakfast at hotel, drive to Kumarakom, a charming village on the Vembanad Lake & a land breathtakingly beautiful, peacefully serene and pristine, it offers a magical experience. On arrival, check in hotel & relax. Enjoy the water front and view the spectacular sunset.
Later enjoy various activities such as bird scantuary visit, swimming, fishing, village visit, farm visit, country boat cruise etc...discover ancient and enriching Ayurvedic therapies and authentic Kerala cuisine and traditional dishes. Over night at Kumarakom.

Day 7 : Kumarakom-Kovalam (185 Kms / 4 Hrs Drive)

After breakfast, drive to Kovalam. This beach is known as the "Paradise of the South". Kovalam is warm and clean filled with the coconut trees and the white sanded as the sea breeze gently plays with the waves. Swimming and bathing are very refreshing and exhilarating in the waves. Enjoy your stay near Beaches in Kovalam.

Day 8 : Kovalam-Trivendrum

Transfer in time from Kovalam to Trivandrum Airport to connect your onward flight to Next destination.
