Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrive Chennai

On arrival at Chennai airport meet our representative with placard of your name and transfer to Hotel & relax. Chennai is the capital city of Tamilnadu and the largest city of south India and also called as gate way of southern India. Overnight in Chennai.

Day 2 : Chennai-Mahabalipuram (55 Kms / 1.5 Hrs Drive)

After breakfast proceed for a local tour of Chennai visit Fort St George, Fort Museum, St Mary's Church, War memorial Marina beach and aquarium, Parthasarathy temple, San Thomas cathedral basilica & Kapaliswarar temple. Later drive to Mahabalipuram. Town of Mahabalipuram is famous for its various temples & other attractive features. On arrival, check in Hotel & relax. Later visit the Arjuna’s Pennace- it’s an enormous relief made on two huge boulders, is the universe itself in stone, Shore Temple – A three in one abode of God – A Vishnu Temple sandwiched between two Shiva Temples. It is a visual pleasure. Rathas- A group of structures lying at the southern extreme of Mahabalipuram, amidst casuarinas trees, are the famous Rathas (Chariot). The Panch Pandava Rathas, as they are called, are in five numbers. Out of these, four are carved out of a single Rock, while the fifth on the west is scooped out from a small rock. Besides these there are Ganesh Ratha to the north of the main hill and two pidari Rathas on the eastern side. Krihna Temple & Caves of Mahabalipuram is the other worthful attractions. Overnight in Mahabalipuram.

Day 3 : Mahabalipuram-Pondicherry (110 Kms / about 3 Hrs Drive)

After breakfast drive to Pondicherry. It is away from the hustle and bustle of big city, Pondicherry is a quiet little town on the southern coast. The unmistakable French connection, the tree lined boulevards, the quaint colonial heritage buildings, the spiritual scene, the endless stretches of unspoilt virgin beaches, backwater, a surprising choice of restaurants serving a melange of cuisines. Enjoy beautiful beaches of Pondicherry & other sightseeing. Overnight in Pondicherry.

Day 4 : Pondicherry-Thanjavur (170 Kms / about 4-5 hrs Drive)

After breakfast, drive to Thanjavur. On arrival check into the hotel & relax. In the afternoon visit Brihadeshwara Fort & Temple, which is a Chola architectural marvel. This is also listed in the UNESCO world heritage. Also you will visit Thanjavur Palace & Museum, which houses a library, museum and art gallery. Overnight in Thanjavur.

Day 5 : Thanjavur-Rameshwaram (240 Kms / about 6 Hrs Drive)

After breakfast, proceed to Rameshwaram- the most sacred temple town of India is an island hallowed by the epic Ramayana, where Lord Rama is said to have visited before going into battle of Lanka. Legend has it that Lord Rama sent Hanuman to Mount Kailash to bring a Lingam for worship when he set foot after defeating Ravana. As Hanuman did not return when the auspicious hour was approaching, Sita made a sand Lingam so that worship could be performed in time, which is where the present day Ramanatha Swamy Temple stands close to sea on the eastern side of the island. One of the twelve Jyotirlingam shrines is also well known for its magnificent corridors and the massive sculptured pillars lining them. Overnight in Rameshwaram.

Day 6 : Rameshwaram-Madurai (170 Kms / about 4 hrs Drive)

After breakfast drive to Madurai. On arrival check into the hotel & relax. Later enjoy the visit of World’s famous Meenakshi Temple. 1000 pillars beautifully carved on stone is perfection of art & architecture. Later visit Tirumalai Nayak Mahal & Gandhi Museum. Overnight in Madurai.

Day 7 : Madurai-Kanyakumari (250 Kms / about 6 Hrs Drive)

After Breakfast, check-out & drive to Kanyakumari, to visit the Vivekanand Rock Memorial to see the spectacular sunset in the Indian Ocean. Enroute visit to Padmanabha puram palace. Witness sun set at Kanyakumari and overnight stay at your resort. Overnight in Kanyakumari.

Day 8 : Kanyakumari –Kovalam (90 Kms / about 2 Hrs Drive)

After breakfast drive to Kovalam. Kovalam beach is known as the "Paradise of the South". Kovalam is warm and clean filled with the coconut trees and the white sandbed as the seabreeze gently plays with the waves. Swimming and bathing are very refreshing and exhilirating in the waves. Overnight in Kovalam.

Day 9 : Kovalam -Alleppey (Houseboat Stay) (165 Kms / about 4 Hrs Drive)

After breakfast drive to Alleppey, a famous town for Backwaters & beautiful Houseboat. A perfect destination for a memorable trip in Kerala. Check into a houseboat that will take you through the sleepy backwaters of Kerala. Enjoy nature from your beautiful houseboat passes by charming villages, lush green paddy fields and other scenic delights. Stay overnight in your houseboat besides enjoying the best food in a traditional way. Overnight in Alleppey.

Day 10 : Alleppey-Thekkady (140 Kms / about 3-4 Hrs Drive)

After breakfast at hotel, drive to Thekkady through cardamom hills. On arrival, check into the Resort & relax. After lunch visit spice plantation like cardamom, Pepper, Coffee, and tea estate etc. The major attraction of Thekkady is sunset boating on the lake and the Mullai Periyar Dam. On way back to hotel you could stop at the local market and pick up some fragrant spices. Overnight stay in Thekkady.

Day 11 : Thekkady-Munnar (120 Kms / About 3 hrs Drive)

After breakfast, drive to Munnar. A charming place with very low population & pollution. Mostly area covered by tea plantation. Enroute enjoy the scenic beauty & the marvelous waterfalls (Cheeyappara), high mountains with the low flying clouds passing by. On arrival, check in Hotel & relax.

Day 12 : Munnar

After breakfast in hotel, enjoy sightseeing of Munnar which includes Mattupetty, Eco-Point, Tea Museum, Pothamedu etc. You can also enjoy boating in the Lake (optional).Overnight stay in Munnar.

Day 13 : Munnar-Kodaikanal (165 Kms / 5 Hrs Drive)

After breakfast drive to Kodaikanal. One of the most romantic hill station in South India and is located on the southern tip of the upper Palani Hills. The Gentle Slopes Carpeted with wild flowers, brooks running down hill sides, sunshine, magnificent scenic beauty, the mist and the cool nights attract the tourists. The Star Shaped Lake which spread over 24 acres at Kodaikanal is the main attraction here. On arrival, check in Hotel and relax.

Day 14 : Kodaikanal

After breakfast, enjoy the local city tour by visiting the Flora and Fauna Museum, the Bryant Park, The Kodaikanal Lake, The pillar Rocks, the coaker’s walk, perumal peak, Berijam Lake, Kukkal Cave, Patani Temple & other Old Temples. Later back to hotel. Overnight in Kodaikanal.

Day 15 : Kodaikanal-Ooty (250 Kms / 6 Hrs Drive)

Morning after breakfast drive to Ooty. It is situated at an altitude of 2200 mts on the Nilgiri Hills. It is popularly called as the “Queen of the Hill Stations” in South India. Ooty is also known for the outdoor activities like boating, fishing, horse riding etc. On arrival in Ooty, check in Hotel and relax.

Day 16 : Ooty

Morning after breakfast, start the sightseeing by visiting the botanical gardens, The Artificial Lake, Doddabetta – the highest peak here, St. Stephen Church, Raj Bhawan, Government Museum & Kandala Cross, Sim’s Park. Later back to Hotel for night stay.

Day 17 : Ooty-Kabini (160 Kms / 4 Hrs Drive)

After breakfast drive to Kabini. Wild wetlands that surround the Kabini River. The riverbanks boast a rich variety of wildlife, particularly in summer as the receding water presents luscious meadows on either side. On arrival, check in hotel & relax. Later visit Nagarahole National Park with plenty of opportunities for wildlife viewing. Overnight at Kabini.

Day 18 : Kabini-Coorg (120 Kms / 4 Hrs Drive)

You have another option of going on for a beautiful Boat Safari (Optional) early in the morning. Return to the hotel later for your breakfast and going to Coorg. Rest of the day free for leisure and relaxation. Overnight in Coorg.

Day 19 : Coorg

After breakfast, enjoy sightseeing of Coorg visiting Abbey falls and market place. Later during the sunset enjoy a walk near the coorg Golf Course. Rest of the time free for shopping. Overnight in Coorg.

Day 20 : Coorg-Mysore (110 Kms / 2 Hrs Drive)

Today after breakfast proceed to Mysore. After Checking in to the Hotel and relaxing for a while, you set out on a trip of the city. The Brindavan Gardens,Chamundi Hills, Mysore Lake, Zoo, St. Philomena’s Church and many more highlights of this ancient city in covered in this trip. Overnight in Mysore.

Day 21 : Mysore-Bangalore (150 Kms / 4 Hrs Drive)

After breakfast drive to Bangalore. On arrival, check in hotel & relax. By Afternoon You set out on a sightseeing tour of the Bangalore City which includes The Lal Bagh, Cubbon Park, Vidhana Soudha, Bangalore Palace, Tipu Sultan’s Palace, Bull Temple, St. Patrick’s Church and other highlights of the city are covered in this trip. Overnight in Bangalore.

Day 22 : Depart Bangalore

After breakfast drive to Bangalore airport to board your flight to home.
