Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrive Bangalore

On arrival at Bangalore airport for a wildlife tour in South India, you will be received by our representative & transfer to hotel. Bangalore is also famous as “the garden city”. The spacious city has many imposing structures full of historic & modern architecture. The magnificent Vidhana Soudha, a wonderful post-independence structure housing the State legislature & Secretariat, stands in the center of the city with its attractive dome & galleries. Overnight in Bangalore.

Day 2 : Bangalore - Nagarhole National Park (230 Kms / 5 Hrs Drive)

After breakfast proceed to Nagarhole National Park. Nagarhole is home to the largest concentration of Asian elephants in the world. Tigers, leopards and dhole (wild dog) also live in these forests – all three co-existing in this biodiverse part of south-west India called the Western Ghats. Pleasant climate, crisscrossed by serpentine rivers and streams, beautiful valleys and dense forests- all are sufficient reason to make Nagarhole national park India's one of the most celebrated paradise of wildlife. Established in the year 1955 as a wildlife sanctuary, The park is centered on a perennial water reservoir formed in 1974, when the Kabini River was dammed. It has all the resident wildlife of the Nilgiri hills: Tiger and elephant and India's best adventure site are quick attraction bringing thousands of tourists from all over the world every year to the Nagarhole national park. On arrival, check in hotel & relax. Afternoon enjoys a jeep ride or an Elephant ride Into the Nagarhole jungle.

Day 3 : Nagarhole National Park - BR Hills (100 Kms / 2 Hrs Drive)

In early morning we go for wildlife viewing and bird watching in the park. Later get ready to go to BR Hills, Situated at a height of 5,091 feet, B.R Hills Wildlife Sanctuary is a unique blend of resort and wildlife sanctuary, a must for wildlife lovers. Biligirirangana range of hills are picturesquely situated between the Cauvery & Kapila rivers. The B R Hills Wildlife sanctuary homes many species of wild animals. It has a large population of Gaurs, chitals, sambhars, bears, elephants, panthers and tigers. The mammal population in this sanctuary include the elephant, tiger, leopard, wild dog, jungle cat, sloth bear, civet, mongoose, Malabar giant squirrel, porcupine, common langur, bonnet macaque, wild pig, gaur, sambar, spotted deer and the four-horned antelope. Plenty of them! So if you're looking for a cool time with a little bit of wild excitement thrown in, welcome to BR Hills. Wake up to the chirping of birds & humming of bees. Day 4 : BR Hills

Today you will get opportunity for Morning & evening wildlife viewing & strenuous bird watching. An overnight stay in the tents follows suit to round up the day's activities.

Day 5 : BR Hills - Bandipur National Park (60 Kms / 1 Hour Drive)

After breakfast drive to the Bandipur National Park. It is situated within the forest belt between the Western Ghats & the Nilgiri Mountains. Bandipur lies in the southern state of Karnataka & covers a forest area of 865 square kilometers. It was declared a National Park in 1974 & is one of the original 9 tiger reserves under the watchful eye of "Project Tiger". Most of these reserves are demarcated more by political boundaries than by truly physical ones. On arrival check in hotel & relax. Later explore the Jungle & enjoy games viewing. Overnight in Bandipur.

Day 6 : Bandipur National Park-Ooty (80 Km – 02 Hrs Drive)

Take your Hearty Breakfast at hotel followed by drive to Ooty. It is one of the most beautiful hill stations of India, located in the state of Tamil Nadu. It is famous for tea plantations and superb scenic beauty. Upon arrival in Ooty, upon arrival our representative assists to transfer you to the hotel check in and Relax at the hotel. Your day free to explore Ooty on your own. Visit the tea plantations. Cherish the scenic beauty of Ooty "The Queen of southern hill resorts".

Day 7 : Ooty - Munnar - Eravikulam National Park (280 Km – 06 Hrs Drive)

In the morning after breakfast drive to to Munnar, located at the confluence of the mountain streams Muthirappuzha, Chanduvarai & Kundala. Munnar town was the summer resort for British. Munnar is the highest tea estate in the world. Afternoon drive to Eravikulam National Park to see the Nilgiri Tahr. Eravikulam National Park, The area is tropical evergreen forest. Grasslands, shrubs, and forests are what one finds throughout. Grasslands with patches of forests known as sholas in between cover almost the entire region. This Sanctuary is set up for the preservation of the endangered Nilgiri Tahr. The park home to Elephants, Sambhars, Gaurs, Lion-tailed Macaque, Nilgiri, Langur, giant squirrel, Tigers and Leopards.

Day 8 : Munnar

In the morning after breakfast visit Madupetty Dam, Echo Point, Gundala Lake , Top Station, Photo Point, Indo-Swiss Project, Eravikulam Rajamalai National Park , Nyamakkad Falls , Tea Museum , Pothamedu Sunset View, International Blossom Park etc. Park has the largest known population of Tahr existing in the world & also shelters Atlas Moth, Elephants, Sambhars, Gaurs, Lion-tailed Macaque, Nilgiri, Langur, Tiger & Leopard. It exhibits the breathtaking natural splendor of rolling grasslands & exotic flowers. Anamudi, the highest peak south of Himalayas, towers over the pride of the sanctuary.

Day 9 : Munnar - Thekkady (160 Km - 04 Hrs Drive)

Today After a very hearty breakfast, we will drive to Thekkady one of India's most fascinating natural wildlife sanctuaries, where one can watch wildlife at close range. Check in to the hotel The sanctuary was established in 1934 and forms part of the high mountain ranges, the Western Ghats. The vegetation, the flora & fauna & the birds are uniquely rich, vast & varied that it does not bear semblance to any other wildlife sanctuaries in the world. Wild life can be seen while cruising on Periyar Lake in a motor boat. Amongst the animals which can be seen here are Elephants, Tigers, Leopards, Wild Boars and the sambar among others. The sanctuary is one of the best in the country for watching & photographing wild life. Notable among the inhabitants are the tigers, majestic Asiatic wild elephants & distinctive Nilgiri Langur.You can even enjoy the sanctuary in the evening by a motorized boat on the Lake.

Day 10 : Thekkady - Kumarakom (135 Kms / 4 Hrs Drive)

Take your leisurely breakfast at the hotel, after that you will drive to Kumarakom , a cluster of little islands, on the Vembanad Lake in Kerala. After arrival check in to the hotel. The land of lakes, canals & paddy fields, Kumarakom transports you to sheer ecstasy. Holiday on the houseboats, traditional Kettuvallam, are an out-of-this-world experience at Kumarakom. The lake also provides facilities for boating, yachting, fishing, surf riding & swimming. Ideal picnic spot accessible by boat from here is Pathiramanal (Midnight Sands) a lonely island in the lake. You could Cruise along the back-waters enjoying the bracing climate & green magic of nature.

Day 11 : Kumarakom - Alleppey (Overnight Houseboat)

Morning at leisure. Today you may visit to Bird Sanctuary. There are two seasons for birds: between October and February there are cormorants, teals, and other ducks and from February to July there are darters (snake birds), night herons, egrets, and Siberian storks. It also has golden backed woodpecker, crow pheasant, white-breasted water hen, tree pie etc. In the afternoon embark the houseboat, locally called Kettuvallam, & cruise around backwaters of Alleppey, observe & experience the daily life of the villagers along the backwaters.

Day 12 : Alleppey-Cochin

After breakfast, drive to Cochin Airport to board your flight to Home.
